What To Expect
It helps to know what type of tasks you will be required to do and what type of situations you might be in. As a CNA you might be working in a variety of different departments. Some might work in the ER, in pediatrics, or in other specialized departments. You might be caring for simple cases or for people who are on their death beds. This gives you diverse experience if you ever want to continue your education.
You will always be working under the supervision of either an LPN or RN. You will provide care for the patient based on what you are told to do. You need to know what the patient has been admitted for, when vitals need to be taken, and what type of assistance they will need.
